MGA Client Manager

Job Profile

Main purpose of job
Supporting the Deputy Head of Client Management by providing management and oversight of a portfolio of MGA clients. Being the main point of contact for clients and working alongside the client and internal stakeholders to monitor cross-departmental activities; acting as coordinator and liaison and providing effective support in order to embed appropriate processes and controls. Reporting both internally and externally. Define and implement initiatives to build and develop platform.

Key tasks

  1. Is the main point of contact for MGA clients on a day-to-day basis to ensure the client is receiving a quality service. Ensuring the target operating model is understood and applied appropriately. Be the point of escalation for both internal and external queries across a variety of topics, including control framework, returns and systems.
  2. Technical oversight and review of cash reconciliation process and implementation of required enhancements.
  3. Lead the collation and drafting of cross-functional Board reporting for internal and external Boards.
  4. Assisting in the onboarding of new MGAs to the Asta platform including development of the MGA’s operating model, project plan maintenance and cross-function communications.
  5. Be an active member of Boards and Committees representing the MGA platform.
  6. Ensuring that the ongoing deliverables are met by monitoring and reporting against the MGA’s Schedule of Services.
  7. Ad-hoc projects, queries and assistance.

  1. Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.
  3. Highly numerate with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  4. Good organisational skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple deadlines.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively with others and establish strong relationships both internally and externally. 

Key technical skills, knowledge and professional qualifications required

  1. MGA/cover holder knowledge and experience; including set up, processing and operational nuances would be advantageous.
  2. Experience within Insurance operations with a good understanding of delegated authority.
  3. Excellent level of IT skills including Excel is essential.
  4. Has a good knowledge of Underwriting Systems and Management Information.
