Asta, the leading third party managing agent and specialist MGA investor, is pleased to have donated £5,000 to RedR, a non-profit organisation which provides training for humanitarian NGO and aid workers worldwide. Asta was pleased to have raised the money by hosting its clients at a charity golfing event in Loch Lomond on 26th to 27th September 2016.
RedR, is founded on the principles of giving people the skills to prepare for and respond to major disasters such as earthquakes, floods, conflict and drought. Its focus is to run humanitarian training and support programmes in the most disaster-prone countries of the world ensuring vital skills and knowledge remain in-country. Asta’s support follows the Lloyd’s Charities Trust funded Ready to Respond programme at RedR, which focuses on training those responding to large scale urban emergencies and disaster prevention and protection for South Eastern Europe.
Julian Tighe CEO commented, “Natural catastrophes cause significant suffering across the world and increasingly the impact is felt in urban areas. As part of the international insurance industry Asta is pleased to be supporting organisations like RedR to help aid workers successfully accomplish their mission when faced with natural disasters.”
