Following the completion of the sale of the company earlier this year and the recent re-launch as Asta, Gary Griffiths has decided that the timing is now appropriate to step down from his current role as Chief Operating Officer of Asta Insurance Markets.

As a consequence of this and with effect from the 01 June his operations responsibilities will transfer to Julian Tighe, Chief Financial Officer. Gary will continue with his oversight of the agency’s claims management activities until 01 September and to assist with the transition of the new company to meet future business opportunities and challenges. A first step in the transition will see the claims department become part of the underwriting division.

Stephen Cane, CEO of Asta, said “Gary has been with the company almost since its formation and during this time has played a pivotal role in the development and success of the business. I am very pleased and grateful that Gary is able to help us with the next stage of our evolution before he steps down. It is therefore, perhaps a little premature at this point to recount his valuable contribution to the business that has become Asta but nevertheless, I would like to record my personal thanks for all of his unstinted efforts and loyal support during this time”.
